This year in honour of Mother's Day, Tailor caught up with yoga teacher, SALA studio owner, and Mum; Sarah Lindsay to discuss her wellness secrets, how being a mum has changed her perspective on life, and her philosophy towards skincare.

Hi Sarah, tell us about how you got into yoga and how that led to creating SALA Studio

I started practising yoga whilst at university to help manage my anxiety. I wasn’t a very active child, so I never expected I’d be called to teach movement for a living. I found learning about my body gave me this new level of body autonomy which I found really empowering. I love that I can help others experience this body awareness, which in my opinion is the greatest gift of yoga. When I moved to Auckland I was struggling to find my yoga community- so I opened SALA. A place that embraced music, creativity and movement. I think we’ve definitely been the catalyst of change in Auckland, so many studios have started to pivot and embrace these things too, which I find really flattering!
